The UniFi Dream Machine Pro Max is a 1U rack-mount gateway, switch and UniFi controller for growing businesses and multi-site networks. It has eight 1 GbE ports, one 2.5 GbE port and two 10G SFP+ ports, with up to eight WAN connections. The vendor rates IDS/IPS throughput at 5 Gbps. It includes a 128 GB SSD and two 3.5-inch bays for NVR hard drives, so it can record UniFi Protect cameras directly. It can manage 200 or more UniFi devices and 2,000 or more simultaneous users, and is suited to server rooms and network cabinets.
