The Kingston IronKey D500S is a rugged encrypted USB flash drive with hardware-based XTS-AES 256-bit encryption, validated to FIPS 140-3 Level 3 (certificate #5029) and described by Kingston as designed and assembled in the USA with a trusted supply chain, TAA and CMMC compliant. It offers Admin, User and one-time recovery passwords in Complex or Passphrase modes, a Dual Hidden Partition option and a Crypto-Erase password, plus digitally signed firmware against BadUSB and brute-force protection. The zinc casing is IP67 rated and meets MIL-STD-810F. It is aimed at government, military and regulated enterprises that must control data on removable media. Capacities run from 16GB to 512GB over USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A.
