The YubiKey C Bio (FIDO Edition) adds a built-in fingerprint reader to Yubico's hardware key, with PIN as a fallback. The fingerprint template is stored on the key's secure element rather than on the computer. It connects over USB-C and supports FIDO2/WebAuthn passkeys and FIDO U2F, with no smart card, OpenPGP or OTP functions. It suits staff in higher-risk roles who want passwordless sign-in confirmed by biometrics, and shared-workstation environments where a touch alone is not enough.
