The TP-Link ER7412-M2 is an Omada multi-gigabit VPN gateway for small and mid-size business networks. It combines two 2.5G RJ45 ports, eight Gigabit RJ45 ports and two Gigabit SFP ports, all configurable as WAN or LAN, plus a USB 3.0 port for an LTE dongle or storage. A quad-core ARMv8 processor handles about 2.3 Gbps of NAT throughput, 2.2 Gbps of DPI, 1,000,000 concurrent sessions and VPN with IPsec, OpenVPN, WireGuard, L2TP, PPTP and SSL. It includes IDS/IPS, deep packet inspection and URL filtering, and in controller mode supports SD-WAN, managed centrally from the Omada controller.
