The AKCP PIR Hardware Motion Detector (MD00) is a passive infrared sensor that reports movement to an AKCP base unit as an alarm or normal state. It uses a dual-element infrared sensor with a 60° detection angle and a working distance of up to 3 m (9 ft), and can be mounted on a wall or ceiling. Up to 10 detectors can be daisy-chained on a single sensor port. It is compatible with the sensorProbe+ and securityProbe series and works best with the securityProbe 5E, where motion can trigger SMS, email or MMS notifications, camera pictures and sensor-controlled relays.
