The aluminium core draws heat away from the drive to help hold speed, and the housing is rated IP68 for dust and water, with 4000 lb crush resistance and drop protection up to 3 m.     The G-RAID SHUTTLE 4 is a transportable four-bay hardware RAID system built around 7200RPM drives, designed for large video libraries, multi-stream workflows and backup in studios and post-production houses. It connects over Thunderbolt 3 or USB 3.2 Gen 2 (USB-C), can daisy-chain up to five additional devices, and ships configured as RAID 5 by default, with sequential speeds of up to 640 to 700MB/s read and 800 to 850MB/s write on the 80TB and 96TB models in default RAID 5.
