The AKCP USB Desktop Card Reader is a compact contactless reader and writer for EM frequency cards, used at a desk to read and enrol cards for an access control system. It connects to a host PC through a standard USB interface and draws its power from USB, with a working current under 100 mA. Reading range is 5–10 cm depending on the card or tag. It measures 140 × 100 × 30 mm, has a matt plastic finish and is compatible with all AKCP access control readers. Vodatel supplies, installs and supports it in Jordan as an authorised AKCP partner.
