Compact expansion controller that adds card-reader access to server cabinets and doors
The AKCP Cabinet Access Control Unit (CCU) adds card-reader access control to server cabinets, wiring closets and other doors. It plugs into the expansion port of a Door Control Unit, securityProbe 5E or sensorProbe+ over a standard RJ-45 connection, so cabinet access is logged on the same platform as environmental monitoring. It takes one Wiegand RFID reader and one lock control output, and drives a 12 V lock drawing up to 500 mA. Two RJ-45 ports accept AKCP sensors, and expansion cable runs reach 300 m. Units can be daisy chained to cover many cabinets. Access and sensor settings are configured in AKCP's central monitoring software.
