The Quantum Force 3970 is a branch-office network firewall for sites that outgrow a small-business appliance. Check Point's datasheet lists 4.25 Gbps of threat prevention, 12.5 Gbps of next-generation firewall and 17 Gbps of IPS throughput, with up to 40 Gbps of firewall throughput, in a 1U chassis with 32 GB of memory and a 480 GB NVMe SSD. It carries 16 x 1GbE RJ45, 8 x 1GbE SFP, 2 x 2.5GbE RJ45 and 4 x 10GbE SFP+ ports, and it is optimised for SD-WAN so branch traffic gets reliable connections. It uses the same AI-powered threat prevention as Check Point's larger gateways, so branch and head-office policy can be handled together.

A Wi-Fi 7 option and a 5G cellular option are available, so one device can provide firewalling, wireless and backup connectivity. Firewall, VPN, anti-bot, antivirus and sandboxing run under the same policy as Check Point's larger gateways, and management can be local or cloud-based.

The Quantum Force 9300 is a model in Check Point's 9000 series of perimeter firewalls for mid-size organisations and regional offices. It delivers up to 70 Gbps of firewall throughput in a 1U chassis, with Layer 1-7 threat prevention that includes IPS, anti-bot, antivirus and sandboxing. A network I/O slot can be fitted with an 8 x 1/10G or 4 x 10/25G card, so the port mix can match the switching layer behind it. The base configuration has 16 GB of memory, and the gateway can be managed centrally or joined to a Maestro cluster as traffic grows.
